Jesus is the very Word that God has spoken. If we are unwilling to recognize and believe what Jesus stated as reality, it is difficult to comprehend just how much we are in need of Jesus in our life. According to what Jesus taught, the most important mandate is to love God with everything that you are, which brings us to the second most important command, which is to love one another as much as you love yourself.
When we have a better understanding of the constraints within which we are expected to function, we can have a better grasp on the "how" and "why" of our actions in life. The distance between you and God does not appear to be as great as you had previously assumed, and the journey becomes far more exciting.
